Hey Everyone!!! I apologize for not posting as often as I should. Working on this film has consumed all of my time...including my sleep time. So, i truly am turning into a zombie. It's alright, we can sleep when we're dead, right? So we are in full swing with production, in fact, we will begin week three tomorrow. The house we are filming at is a blessing which was found by a complete accident. It was built in 1848 and has numerous ghost stories surrounding it. Perfect. I will let you know if we notice anything strange. I will keep you posted on what's new with the film. Oh, before i forget, the title has been changed to something more original and it took me a while to come up with a name. The new title is "The Killing Strain," and here is a teaser to go with it. Thanks guys and gals.

Road to Zombie Mayhem (Locations,locations,locations)

So one of the first major humps on our road to zombie mayhem has come about. Last week we lost our primary location, which is the old farmhouse.....yeah, what a bummer. So the team has been on the hunt looking for another location. Let me tell you, you can make a movie out of location scouting alone. You find the creepiest places and people out there. At least it's food for thought and ideas though. So Jesus Sifuentes (2nd AD) and I were out today driving out in the country and found a possible locale. It may need some work but it is an option. The place had horror film written all over it...an then my car battery died....oh, and then it started to rain. Gotta love these moments. So, after taking pictures of the place we decided to head out. So we push started the car(standard), and headed back home completely soaked. Anyhoooo, here is a picture of the location.

Webisode Launch for The Killing Fields

Today we shot the first webisode to help promote the film. These webisodes, which are really 30-40 second clips will be a culmination of mini stories that surround the story of The Killing Fields. We will continue to shoot a series of these clips leading up to the release of the film. We had the pleasure of having Shelly Miles of WOAI and San Antonio Living to participate in KF Webisode 1. She played the role of an anchor woman who gets attacked and I have to say she did it like a pro...I wonder why. The webisode is featured on youtube and will be linked at www.killingfields.com as well. Stay tuned for more to come!!

Website make-over

Hey everyone!! So we have just updated the "Killing Fields" website and it is looking great! Thanks to our publicist and friend John Frazee, half man, half machine. All the links are available on the site, and also included is a link to our newsletter. We will have media downloads like wallpapers, screenshots, and behind the scenes video up soon.

This week we will begin a small video campaign of video teasers. They are not featured in the film but definitely inspired by it.

"THE ROAD TO ZOMBIE MAYHEM" Behind the scenes look at "THE KILLING FIELDS"

So it has been too long since my last post!!! Aghhh! Anyhoo, i have been busy putting my first feature film together. It's a zombie film called, "The Killing Fields." Yes, I know there is already a movie called that. It is about the atrocities that occurred in Cambodia and it was a brilliant film. The title was something I thought up before i even heard of the film. So, I in no way do I intend any disrespect.

Here is a trailer of the film. It was shot in the summer of August 08' over a grueling...or should i say simmering 4 days in Castroville, Texas (20minutes outside SAN ANTONIO). After a year of preparing the script, raising money, praying, scouting locations, and ofcourse...more praying, we have finally decided to go forth with the project. The film is slated to be shot JULY 09.

I will be doing my best to document the film from start to finish for anyone who is willing to feel my pain, the pain of my crew, cast, zombies, and maybe some farm animals. Okay, maybe not the farm animals but you get my drift. So, I will call this "THE ROAD TO ZOMBIE MAYHEM"...and no i won't change the name of my movie to that. Although...................
STAY TUNED!!!
